Core Values

We want all children to return from a week at camp with more than just a recreational experience.  Through program activities and staff all campers are exposed to our values of respect, responsibility, honesty, caring and fairness.  We make every effort to develop children spiritually, physically, and mentally.

Cabin Life
Each camper lives in a cabin with ten other campers of similar age and two counselors.  There is a 3:1 campers to staff ratio overall.

All regular cabins are air conditioned and have beautiful, cozy bunks.  Our youngest campers will have cabins with bathrooms attached.  Older boys may reside in our rustic setting called Tent City.  This is a great bonding experience for them.

June 15-21• SESSION 1   (Pick your Price Tier)
DISCOVERY CAMP (ages 7-12)
Explore your adventurous side.  A camp geared especially for the younger camper. A great way to build the Foster tradition in your family.

June 15-18• SESSION 1 1/2    $220.00
HALF PINT WEEK (ages 6-9)
Half the week at half the camp fee! It is designed to orientate you to camp life. Special program options will build your confidence and skills.

June 22-June 28 • SESSION 2    (Pick your Price Tier)
THE LEGION OF HEROS (ages 7-16)

Transform yourself into an action super hero. Identify and develop your unique talents.  Unveil your powers just in time to defeat all evil forces.


June 29-July 5 • SESSION 3    (Pick your Price Tier)
A NIGHT AT THE LODGE (ages 7-16)
Experience the nocturnal wild side of Foster.  During the day, all is normal... at night the adventure really begins.  Be at camp when the lodge comes alive!

Can’t squeeze in a full week of camp? Don’t miss out entirely – join us for an intense half session. Participate in all the fun of camp.  Everyday is a new adventure.

SPY Y: THE CODE (ages 7-17)

Help camp figure out the meaning behind the code that has found its way into the Foster mainframe.  But, cracking the code may just be the first step to an action filled week where twists to the mystery appear daily.


July 13-19 • SESSION 5  *This session is FULL* (Pick your Price Tier)
MOONLIGHT MADNESS (ages 8-16)
There is a little werewolf in everyone, so be careful when it starts to show.  Under the light of the moon no camper can resist a week that's sure to be a THRILLER!  Scary but silly evening programs fit for every age group.

July 20-26 • SESSION 6 *This session is FULL*  (Pick your Price Tier)
PIRATES COVE (ages 8-16)
Get prepared to set sail on an adventure sure to be filled with swashbuckling fun.  Strap on your eye patch and brush up on your pirate lingo as camps own cove transforms when we leave for the voyage of a lifetime.


July 27-Aug 2 • SESSION 7 *This session is FULL*  (Pick your Price Tier)
TWILIGHT ZONE (ages 8-16)
Allow yourself to slip into a time warp that will test your sense of reality.  Stay up later each night. Sleep in to recuperate.

Aug 3-9 • SESSION 8    (Pick your Price Tier)
TEEN WEEK (ages 12-17)
Welcome to TEEN HAVEN.  A full week of programs design specifically for you.  This session is a great way to end your summer.

SUMMERS FINAL BLAST (ages 7-17)
End your summer Foster Style: Fun, Friends, and adventure.  A super cool half week experience.




Specialty Camp Options

Boots and Saddles *Sessions 1,2,3 & 5 are FULL* (Session 4, 6 & 7 have space available ONLY to campers currently enrolled)   (Additional Fee - $75.00)
Intermediate Session 1 • Ages 9-12, Sessions 2, 3, 5, 8 • Ages 10-16  
Advanced Sessions 4, 6, 7 • Ages 12-16  
Ten hours of instruction. Each camper will have his/her own horse. For campers who love horses and really want to learn more about Western Style Riding, techniques, care of horses and tack.

Pottery Camp    (Additional Fee - $61.00)
Session 1 • Ages 7–12, Session 4 • Ages 12-16
Throw your own POTTERY. Learn coil, pinch, and slab construction techniques as well as kick and electric wheel work. No prior knowledge necessary.

Snorkel and Scuba  (Additional Fee - $75.00)   
Sessions 4, 5 • Ages 12-16  
Learn the basics of snorkeling and scuba diving in our pool. Then take an open water dive in West Lake Okoboji at weeks end. Equipment provided.

Kayaking Camp    (Additional Fee - $61.00)
Intermediate Session 2 • Ages 8-12
Learn the exciting sport of kayaking from an experienced instructor. The session will include a trip. No experience necessary.

Dance Camp    (Additional Fee - $61.00)
Session 2 • Ages 7-16
Learn the latest moves from a professional instructor. The Dance Express team will be at Foster to help you train! Intermediate and Advanced sessions offered, camper class placement determined by instructor.

Ropes Rock!    (Additional Fee - $61.00)
Session 2, 5 • Ages 13-16
You will climb all the high elements at Foster, learn how to belay and take care of ropes and equipment, plus spend one day rock climbing in Minnesota! Taught by Foster challenge staff and guided by our challenge course designer.

Fishing Camp    (Additional Fee - $61.00)
Session 2 • Ages 7-16
Fish the Lakes with expert instructor. Learn or perfect your techniques. Advanced and intermediate accepted.

TEAM Leadership Camp    (Pick your Price Tier)
Session 4, 5 & 8 • Age 17
TEAM camp allows you to experience leadership opportunities while still being a camper.  Challenge yourself to develop new leadership skills while enjoying one more summer at Foster.  Specifically designed for 17 year olds.

Watersports Lesson Package *Session 2,4,5,6 & 7 are FULL* (Additional Fee $50.00)

This lesson package is for those who wish to water-ski, wakeboard, or kneeboard.  Lessons are provided for beginners through advanced levels.  Equipment provided.  Fills Fast.
